Service Description

For any new mums or mums-to-be, this is an opportunity to join a welcoming, safe and supportive environment, do a bit of yoga (prenatal & postnatal approved), enjoy a warm cuppa and a piece of cake and meet other new mums and their babies (or bumps). It really doesn't matter if you’re new to yoga, new to parenting, or experienced in both; see this as a taster for what the weekly Postnatal Yoga for Mums class can offer, with the added bonus of refreshments and time to socialise. You can bring your baby (of course), or come solo. After you've arrived and settled in, we will start with a gentle yoga flow, which will focus on gradual strengthening of key muscle groups to encourage healthy, functional movement and flexibility. You'll be introduced to simple breathing and mindful meditation techniques you can use anywhere, even while feeding or nap-trapped with your baby! You might dip in and out of the practice depending on your needs and those of your baby - that's ok too. We'll all come together at the end to celebrate the incredible resilience we demonstrate as mothers everyday, and acknowledge that we deserve a bit of TLC too. Tea and coffee will then be served alongside tasty treats from local bakery Cocorico. You are welcome to stay and chat with other mums, and if the weather is good, feel free to utilise the garden space outside the centre to continue building your mama village. Seeing how mums come together and build these vital connections is what I love most about these events! Pre-booking is essential as space is limited - grab your place now! (this is a stand-alone event, not redeemable through weekly class passes) NB: When booking, please state the age of your baby and any food allergies you have in the ‘any other comments’ section. Please bring a yoga mat for you and your baby's favourite blanket to kick around on. Buggies can be left just outside the glass doors on the veranda (which will be left open if weather is nice). Unfortunately this event isn’t suitable for toddlers or young children who are actively walking due to available space and the safety of younger babies. Any questions, send me a message through the Contact page, I’m happy to answer them.
