Service Description
Weekly Lunchtime Class at Eli House Family Hub, Exeter. Come and join a friendly group of new mums (and babies are welcome too) for a yoga class tailored to postnatal bodies & minds. These sessions are offered to support your recovery, nurture your nervous system and reconnect you to your body after birth. Each class weaves together mindful movement, breath work, core and pelvic floor support and deep rest. This is a space to rebuild from softness, honour your new identity and be held in a safe and welcoming community. We will focus on: - Physical recovery after birth (including pelvic floor engagement and pelvic alignment) - Gradual strengthening of key muscle groups to encourage healthy, functional movement and flexibility - Emotional support through relaxation and meditation techniques - Providing a safe space for you to be with your body (and your baby) and connect with other mums The classes are suitable from 8-10 weeks postpartum (as long as you have been passed by your GP to resume exercise); you are welcome to come as long as you consider yourself 'postnatal'. They will be mum-focussed sessions, but babies are welcome and will enjoy the experience too! Venue: Eli House Family Hub, 8 Manaton Court, Matford Business Park, Exeter, EX2 8PF.
